A recap of the speeches last night that had everyone’s eyes glued to the screen, and ears wide open:

Ivan: .. I just felt like… after all that hard work, after all we’ve been through, every task, every housemate we lost, everything we’ve been through, all the sadness, all the crying, seven weeks of it, without our families, not doing what we wanna do at the end of the day, having to wake up, chores, you know, deal with problems inside the house…all of that combined. and at the end of it, only one of us gets to go. and all of us has been through that.

I know you guys didn’t cheat. you can’t. that’s impossible. that was just what I felt inside. i’m not calling you guys that. in no way I am, okay. I just felt like after all we’ve been through. I mean, there’s a process. you guys come in… and you know, like, you guys did your best…

Bret: You guys came here, di ba, you’ve been here seven weeks, right? you guys had three weeks advance on us. we were thrown into this. and we still had to go against you. you had… you knew what was going on for three weeks, you had experience. everything. us, we were thrown in here - “you have a challenge against them, get ready.” you guys had exercise machines. everything. you had the villa. everything.

you’ve been fighting each other, the apartment and the villa. the fighting, the going against each other, you are already used to it. we were thrown in here a bunch, international pa. we have to learn each other’s cultures. we’re all thrown in here fighting each other even? and we had to go against you guys.

you think you had it hard? also? what, the way you told me your first week was. what, “we did nothing almost, we just played some things.” you said that your first few weeks here were okay. then you said it got harder and harder. we were thrown into the hard directly.

here we felt like we knew you. each one of you. last night we talked about each one of you, how deserving each one of you were. how much we love each one of you. we just know you how long? we felt like each one of you are true friends.

we would’ve just given it to you. rematch, rematch? what? even if kuya told you to do that, that’s how you feel about us? then we felt the exact opposite about you. we felt true love and care for each one of you. (tears up)

that was beyond hurtful.

Tricia: it’s okay if you don’t wanna give us the slots. because for me the slots don’t matter anymore. because you’ve already won them.

Bret: you just told us here for like 10 minutes…

Tricia: you know? can you just… wait. let me finish. you know why i’m saying sorry? i’m not saying sorry because I want you guys to give us the slots. I’m saying sorry (voice breaks) because i’m really after the friendship. i really appreciated the friendship… sophia cared for me when I was crying last night. she came for me. on my birthday, who came? teenternationals.

and it really hurts me, you know, bret, when… (crying) you guys can have all of those slots, I don’t care. the truth is I don’t really care if I go to big night or not. the important thing is that I met you. I met friends.

Bret: kuya told you say what was in your heart, that’s what was in your heart then.

Tricia: not what everybody felt, bret.

Ivan: I said, we felt that we got cheated. not by you. not by you talaga. please understand that. please! (hands clasped together)

Bret: we were always kind to you. (voice breaking, background music: “do you know what’s worth fighting for?”)

Bret: we said, no, they’re friends. (bg music: “when it’s not worth dying for..?”)

Bret: I guess we were too kind. (bg music: “does it take your BRET away… ?”)

Ivan: please! (begging)

Bret: i’m gonna go do something messed up, so i’m gonna just get up okay? (“one, 21 guns… lay down your arms…”)

Ivan: I don’t… (places both hands on his head)

Bret: (stands up…walks… flips hair… walks away)

(bg music: “give up the fight… one, 21 guns…”)
